Melanage Skin Lightening Peel is applied as a chemical masque. It is compounded specifically for each patient by the doctor. This is done to ensure the potency and reliability of the masque. The application process takes approximately 20 minutes. Patients report no discomfort and describe the application process as soothing and relaxing.

Patients leave the Miramar Dermatology office with this masque on their face. The patient will keep the masque on his/her face for 5 to 10 hours depending on the patient's skin type. The remainder of the treatment is done by the patient at home, an easy-to-follow at-home regimen involving the application of several Melanage products following masque removal. During the at home portion, the patient will do several follow up visits with the doctors at Miramar Dermatology. This process takes about a month.
